Abstract:		 A watching brief followed by the excavation of a limited number of features showed evidence of prehistoric, Romano-British, Anglo-Saxon and Medieval activity. A number of Anglo-Saxon buildings were identified, but owing to the belief that much of the site was to be left in situ they were not fully excavated.
