Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological works was carried out in an area of a pasture land as part of the Borders Railway Project. Trenches 1 and 2 were targeted on cropmark NT36NW193 to determine the condition and character of the possible feature. A trial trenching evaluation covered 181.5m2 (6% of the available development area). The cropmark which had been identified as a possible enclosure was found out to be a 0.30m deep spread of crushed coal debris. |
