Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological works was carried out in an area of a crop field and unused land as part of the Borders Railway Project. The trenches were targeted to find the any surviving evidence of Harelaw Farm which appears on the 1st Edition map by the Ordnance Survey, 1857. A trial trenching evaluation covered 120.75m2 (6% of the available development area) revealed the remains of a single robbed out wall which presumably belonged to the Harelaw Farm complex.
