Abstract:		 In preparation for the application of outline planning permission, Headland Archaeology was commissioned by Sally Tagg to undertake an archaeological desk-based assessment on an area of land located at NGR SO 460419 (site centre). The Site occupies approximately 1.17 hectares, infilling an area between the A438 and the A103. The northern boundary of the proposed development site is defined by the southern extent of the churchyard of St Mary Magdalene's, while the eastern boundary is bounded by open fields under cultivation. The proposed development site is located within the curtilage of an industrial complex that in the past has taken measures to screen its self from nearby houses adjacent to the western boundary, through the construction of earthen bunds and the planting of trees and hedges.
