Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in April to June at Garlenick Estate Wind Farm, Grampound, Cornwall. A ditch, which dated to the Late prehistoric period, was identified and corresponded to a ditch previously identified from cropmark evidence. This ditch, which extends c. 400m to the south-west of the site, appears to be associated with an enclosure and other features of probable Iron Age and/or Roman date. An undated pit identified to the north of the ditch may be broadly contemporary. Features associated with medieval and/or post-medieval field boundaries were also identified. |
