The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A geophysical (magnetometer) survey covering approximately 31 hectares was carried out on a block of agricultural land along the eastern edge of the village of Scholes, near Leeds. Anomalies consistent with agricultural activity including ridge and furrow ploughing, field drains and former boundaries have been identified throughout the site. In addition anomalies of possible or probable archaeological origin have also been identified, particularly at the southern end of the site. Some, but not all, of these anomalies, which are interpreted as probable enclosures of presumed late prehistoric/early post-Roman date, have previously been identified as cropmarks. On the basis of the survey, the southern end of the site is considered to have a high archaeological potential but with the majority of the site of moderate to low potential.
