Abstract: |
The report presents the results of a 'simple level' assessment (as defined by the Highways Agency's Design Manual for Roads and Bridges) of two options for a proposed road corridor linking the A30 trunk road to the A391 Carluddon Bypass north of St Austell. One route runs to the east of Bugle (the 'Bugle' route), the other to the west of Roche (the 'Roche' route). The assessment studied sites within corridors 100m wide and also assessed impacts upon Designated sites within 1km corridors on both route options. The assessment also considers impacts upon Historic Landscape Character (HLC) units and deposits with potential for containing palaeoenvironmental information. |
