Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 9 hectares of agricultural land. The survey has not identified any anomalies of probable archaeological origin. A small number of archaeological anomalies have been detected, however it is not possible to determine their origin with any degree of confidence. The presence of former field boundaries and ridge and furrow cultivation suggest that the area has been used for agricultural activity since the medieval period. The remaining anomalies are natural or modern in origin, relating to an underground service, land drains, ferrous objects, and fencing. |
