Abstract:		 MOLA Northampton, commissioned by Kier Living, carried out an archaeological trial trench evaluation on land at Station Road, Ibstock prior to the proposed residential development of the site. Fifteen trenches were excavated, to investigate features identified in the geophysical survey results. Archaeological features were largely limited to the southern and western parts of the development area and comprised linear ditches, broadly dated to the Iron Age/Roman period, and further undated features. Furrows indicative of ridge and furrow cultivation were present in some of the trenches
