Abstract:		 In March 2014 Archaeological Research Services Ltd was commissioned by Steve Smith to undertake an archaeological watching brief at 10 Station Road, Denby, Derbyshire. The scheme of works involved foundation excavation for the construction of a house at the site. The archaeological watching brief monitored the excavation of footings for one dwelling. Below a layer of made ground, the natural substratum was encountered at approximately 0.2 to 0.3m below ground level. No archaeological finds, features or buried land surfaces were found.
