Abstract:		 A geophysical (magnetometer) survey covering approximately 1.8 hectares was carried out at the Etwall Cricket Club grounds on the north-western fringe of Etwall, in order to provide an evaluation of the archaeological potential of the site prior to its proposed development for housing. The data set is dominated by high magnitude anomalies caused by the proximity of equipment/infrastructure relating to the current use of the site. Against this magnetically perturbed background only anomalies caused by ridge and furrow cultivation have been identified. No anomalies of archaeological origin have been identified confirming the conclusions of an earlier desk-based assessment that the site had low/nil archaeological potential based on the current evidence.
