The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A geophysical (magnetometer) survey covering approximately 1.5 hectares was carried out at the former Westinghouse Sports Club grounds in Chippenham. A linear anomaly caused by a linear earthwork which crosses the centre of the site has been clearly identified. Vague linear trend anomalies on the same north-west/south-east alignment have also been recorded. These anomalies are interpreted as being indicative of ridge and furrow cultivation with the earthwork feature possibly a remnant field boundary or headland. All the other remaining anomalies are due to services or activity associated with the sports club. On the basis of the survey the archaeological potential of the site is assessed as low.
