Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained on the groundworks for a new replacement residential dwelling with integrated garage. The monitored groundworks comprised the excavation of foundation trenches. No archaeological activity was identified on this site and there were no finds. The findings comprised various deposit sequences which consisted of modern imported landscaping deposits, modern made ground deposits, a modern buried topsoil, an undated buried ploughsoil horizon, a natural horizon and mudstone bedrock. These deposit sequences were recorded within a total of nine sections. |
