Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 2.3 hectares of grassland. The survey has not identified any features of probable archaeological origin, despite the moderate potential for archaeological remains. Linear anomalies of possible archaeological origin may equally be related to more recent agricultural activity. A former field boundary and evidence of ridge and furrow indicate that the site has a largely agricultural past. The remaining features include areas of natural magnetic variation, magnetic disturbance from nearby ferrous objects, and magnetic spikes which are likely to be modern rubbish. |
