Abstract: |
A Level 2 standing building survey was carried out on 17 May and 15 June 2017 prior to demolition of buildings for a housing development. Seven buildings were recorded. Building 1 is the earliest structure being on the First Edition OS map. Building 3 is an Art Deco 1927 garage constructed of concrete blocks; there is date stone on the gablet above the front east façade on Cross Street. It has a flat above and has been completely modernized. Buildings 2, 4 and 6 are on the Second Edition OS map. Building 2 has been heavily modernized and partially rebuilt as has the N wall of Building 4. Building 6 has three large cart doors on the N wall and may have been stables or workshops. |
