Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief and excavation was carried out on strip of ground which ran through the centre of an area where previous archaeological excavation had identified structures related to Iron Age settlement and later agricultural activity (Thompson 2015). A number of pits, post-holes, linears and two possible structures were excavated. Initial assessment of these features suggests an occupation during the prehistoric period followed by later post-medieval agricultural activity consistent with the findings from previous excavations. |
