Abstract: |
In January 2017, KDK Archaeology Ltd undertook an archaeological evaluation at Hilltop House, High Street, Little Staughton, Bedfordshire as a condition of planning permission for the development of the site. Two trenches were excavated across the area of a proposed development, revealing three linear features, a ditch and two hedgerows, which were part of the former eastern boundary of the field on which the present houses on the street frontage were built in the 20th century. A single posthole between the former boundary and the road is likely to represent more recent activity on the site. No artefacts were recovered from any of the features |
