Abstract: |
Trent and Peak Archaeology was contracted by CgMs Consulting on behalf of Kier Group to undertake an archaeological strip map and sample exercise during topsoil removal in anticipation of the construction of a new school block. Topsoil stripping revealed seven north-south orientated linear features which are interpreted as 19th century furrows as well as a further modern ditch and four small features which may be the result of a tree root. |
