An archaeological watching brief was maintained on the groundworks for a new bungalow and rear garage. The archaeological monitoring of the excavation of the foundations for the bungalow identified an undated pit and gully along with a deposit sequence which consisted of a modern imported topsoil horizon, a buried modern topsoil horizon, an undated ploughsoil horizon and an underlying natural horizon. The monitoring of the excavation of the foundations for the garage identified the same modern topsoil, horizon, the undated ploughsoil horizon and the natural horizon.
