Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation comprised of one trial trench was carried out at 46 Farncombe Street by Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd. A layer of natural gravel was found at 0.50m OD, overlain by 1.00m of yellow-brown alluvium. The earliest deposit found during the work on site which can be associated with human activity were ground make up layers associated with the site's development from the 19th century to the present day. No significant archaeology pre-dating the 19th century was found during the work. |
