Abstract: |
South West Archaeology Ltd. (SWARCH) was commissioned by Jon Colvin of Llewellyn Harker Ltd. (the Agent) to undertake desk-based assessment and conduct historic building recording on the building known as the Slaughterhouse, with the aim of gaining an understanding and appreciation of the impact the proposed construction of a swimming pool would have on the historic assets. The slaughter yard stands at the southern end of the courtyards adjacent to the west side of Tregothnan House. Tregothnan House is Grade I Listed building, with a Grade II* Listed Stables and Office Yards located to the west, and various other Listed assets contained within the estate (itself a Registered Park and Garden). |
