Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a joint pit for an additional electricity supply to the property. The pit was located over the existing supply. The only exposed archaeological deposit was the top of a levelling layer associated with mid 19th-century rebuilding of the town by the Dukes of Bedford; this involved raising the ground level substantially. |
