Abstract: |
The Heritage Network was commissioned by DBC to undertake archaeological monitoring of the groundworks for the construction of a Splash Park at Gadebridge Park, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The site lies within Gadebridge Park, on the western edge of Hemel Hempstead old town, approximately 70m to the west of the medieval parish church of St Mary. The development site, centred on NGR TL 05386 07844, is located in the south-eastern corner of the park. A probable tree bole was encountered in one trench. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered and no direct evidence for activity pre-dating the 20th century was noted. |
