Abstract: |
In July 2017 a programme of Observation and Recording was undertaken at 9 Cross Oak Road, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire as a planning condition for the development of the site. The condition was imposed as the site lies near to the medieval core of Berkhamsted and is surrounded by a number of heritage assets. Groundworks consisted of three foundation trenches and a small hole for a pillar; no archaeological features were discovered and all deposits were of made ground containing modern material. |
