Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometer survey was conducted over approximately 1.1 hectares of arable land. The survey identified a linear anomaly, forming part of a Romano-British field system discovered during previous investigations. Further linear anomalies and a possible pit have also been identified and may relate to the prehistoric, Iron Age, Roman and Saxon activity recorded on the site. The remaining features are modern in origin and include evidence of modern ploughing, an underground service and disturbance from nearby fencing. |
