Abstract:		 AB Heritage was commissioned to produce an Historic Environment Desk-Based Assessment and Heritage Statement ahead of a proposed sale and development of the site of Ponteland Library and grounds, at Thornhill Road, Ponteland, Northumberland. Consideration has been given to the future development of the site and how this may impact the settings of the Blackbird Inn and the Ponteland Conservation Area. Overall the potential for the survival of archaeological remains of significance or complexity is low.
