Abstract: |
In July 2014, Keystone Archaeology (KA) and Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) were commissioned by Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre and the Down Your Wold Project to provide a community based excavation in 'Bettie's Garden', forming land to the rear of 4 Cromwell View, Caistor. The investigation recorded modern rubble spreads containing small quantities of redeposited late post-medieval artefacts. The excavations were stopped before they extended beyond a deep layer of likely late post-medieval imported horticultural soil, however, and no significant archaeological features or deposits were therefore encountered. |
