Abstract: |
An evaluation excavation at 17-21 Greenhill, Lichfield revealed significant archaeological remains dating from the twelfth or thirteenth century onwards. These consisted primarily of domestic deposits. Of particular interest was a cesspit which yielded fragments of at least 2 glass urinals, a complete pottery jug and much of an unusual pottery vessel described as a candle makers' trough, which is understood to be unique in this country. |
