Abstract: |
MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned by EDP to undertake a magnetometer survey of c19ha of land west of Bromham, Bedfordshire. The survey mapped a group of enclosures, pits and associated features of Iron Age or Roman date that cover at least 2ha in the south of this area. Two groups of undated ditches, possibly representing parts of a field system and another enclosure, were identified further to the north. The survey also detected a large (circa 5.5ha) zone of magnetic disturbance in the north of the survey area, which very probably relates to a modern layer of made ground. |
