Abstract:		 Monitoring of the excavation of four test pits in the courtyard of the north transept of the cathedral. Test Pit 5 revealed the foundations of the cathedral as well as two culverts from the Wren period.The project also undertook the recording of a medieval well which was first discovered during the construction of an underground car park in the area. The well had been capped by concrete and preserved.
