Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology during groundworks associated with installation of a new DSLAM cabinet and associated ducting at Castle Way, Taunton, Somerset. The watching brief recorded no archaeological features. A buried topsoil layer survived in one area, but this had been removed in the remainder of the monitored groundworks by extensive modern disturbance. The groundworks disturbed no burials or other features associated with the Saxon cemetery recorded in this area by previous archaeological works.
