Abstract:		 This report details background research and site investigation conducted at Kenbury Wood landfill site, Kennford, Devon, EX6 7XD (NGR SX91948710) in January - March 2011. Kenbury Wood landfill has been operating since 1985 when permission was granted subject to a condition which protected a zone of potential archaeological importance that had been discovered as a result of aerial photography by Frances Griffith in 1984. The zone contained a trapezoidal ditched enclosure of possible prehistoric or Roman date.
