Abstract:		 This report details the results of a programme of evaluation trenching undertaken on land to the rear of the Buck Inn, Sadberge, Darlington as a requirement of a planning application for the construction of three new dwellings on the site. The trenching was undertaken in order to characterise the potential effects of the proposed development on the archaeological resource, with the trench targeted to the area of ground impact.
