Abstract:		 A watching brief was undertaken in advance of a development of six dwellings. The site lies within the medieval core of Linton village and within fifty metres of a late sixteenth/ early seventeenth century manor house. Therefore the supervision of ground-works was necessary because of the possibility of Medieval remains which could be contemporary with the manor house. No remains were identified with the site disturbed in many places by later activity including house bricks and post- medieval pottery. No artefactual evidence was recovered.
