Abstract: |
Alder Archaeology conducted a watching brief on preparation and foundation works for a small block of flats in Pearl Street, Callander. The site was located in backlands on the S side of Main Street, a little N of the River Teith, on a sandy river terrace at the margin of the medieval and 18th-century settlement. No significant archaeology was found, but only traces of the demolished 20th-century fire station and other modern activity. |
