The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Rapid walkover survey using a GPS, to assess the potential of the woodland to contain well-preserved archaeological features. The wood was walked in transects aligned roughly N-S and approx 50m to 100m apart. The survey is only a sample of the woodland and should not be taken as exhaustive or its results as definitive. Features recorded included medieval field boundaries, post-medieval woodland management features, and intensive quarrying dating to the 19th-20th centuries.
