Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 47.6 hectares of mixed use agricultural land. No features of probable archaeological origin have been identified, though a small number of possible archaeological features have been discovered. A number of former field boundaries and evidence of modern ploughing indicate that the site has a more recent agricultural past. Areas of disturbance of unknown origin have been identified, and are likely to be modern in origin. The remaining features are natural or modern and include land drains, services, a trackway, a footpath, an area of made ground, areas of scattered magnetic debris, and magnetic disturbance from nearby ferrous objects. |
