Abstract: |
This report presents the results of an archaeological magnetometer survey prepared for AC Archaeology Ltd on behalf of clients. The survey area location is shown in Figure 1. The magnetic responses across the survey area were sufficient to be able to differentiate between anomalies representing possible archaeological features and background magnetic responses. Six magnetic anomaly groups were mapped as representing possible archaeological deposits or features. Of these, one group represents a field boundary mapped between 1842 and at least 1966. It was removed before 1980. The remaining groups are most likely to represent linear and disrupted linear deposits, such as former ditches or banks, of unknown period. |
