Abstract: |
A commission from the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames Council to produce a Historic Environment Desk Based Assessment and Heritage Statement covering a proposed development at Friars Lane Car Park, Richmond upon Thames. The report includes a description of the baseline conditions; an examination of readily available documentary, cartographic and known archaeological evidence; and identifies any known and potential cultural heritage receptor(s) within the application site and its surrounding area. The site is located within the Richmond Riverside Conservation Area and the Richmond Archaeological Priority Area. The site is close to, and / or overlooked by, a number of Listed Buildings, including: Queensberry Place (1-5 Friars Lane); St Helena House; St Helena Terrace; 1-3 Cholmondeley Walk; Octagonal gazebo, Friars Lane; and White Cross Hotel. |
