Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out by AC archaeology during groundworks associated with the construction of an equine arena, on land south of Luton Lane Farm, Payhembury, Devon (ST 0801 0286). The monitored groundworks consisted of ground reduction to the level of construction across the site. The groundworks exposed a single plough furrow which was undated but given its narrow width most likely dates to the post-medieval period. There were no other features exposed suggesting the site has always been grass land utilised for agriculture. |
