Abstract: |
The investigation revealed activity in two main phases. The earlier phase comprised a Middle Bronze Age pit and a small collection of prehistoric flintwork. Whilst its interpretation as representing an occupation site is tentative, it makes a relatively significant contribution to knowledge of the distribution of Bronze Age activity and pottery in North Devon. The main deposits revealed represent evidence of landscape organization during the Medieval period with a ditched trackway and enclosures representing the working area adjacent to a predecessor of the modern day farm. |
