Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during excavation works for the installation of a new river outfall pipeline. This comprised a single trench extending into the Thames foreshore and associated trench box on the bankside. Undated alluvial horizons and post-medieval timber pile and plank revetments were identified and indicated at least two earlier phases of bank reinforcement. |
