The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Three 2m X 2m evaluation trenches at the former Monk Bar Garage, Lord Mayor's Walk, revealed part of the medieval embankment for the city walls and suggested that the associated ditch was progressively in-filled with refuse and garden soils until the nineteenth century, when houses were built. Structural remains of one house were found that had been demolished in the 20th century to make way for the garage building and forecourts.
