Abstract: |
Groundworks for a new residential development exposed the remains of 15 terraced houses on either side of Camberwell Street. They formed part of a wider development of early 19th-century expansion of Penzance, and were demolished in 1939 as part of a slum clearance. The original ground-floor plans were recovered, along with some evidence for later extensions. Limited contemporary artefactual material was recovered. |
