Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 6.4 hectares of arable land. The remains of medieval ridge and furrow was identified across most of the site, along with natural fracturing of the underlying limestone geology. A single positive curvilinear anomaly is highlighted as being of uncertain origin simply because it appears slightly different to the other limestone fractures. Areas of magnetic disturbance around the edge of the site are related to nearby ferrous metal fences. |
