Abstract:		 Wessex Archaeology undertook a historic building recording of a farmhouse and a barn at Lower Small Shaw Farm establishing that the earliest part of the building is within the farmhouse and dates from the late 16th century, whilst the first extension to the house occurred during the late 16th/early 17th century, with the later adjoining barn dating from the 17th century. A further extension to the east of the house dates to the 18th century and an extension to the south of the barn was constructed in the 19th century.
