Abstract:		 Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Redrow Homes Ltd to create a historic building record (English Heritage Level 1), and to carry out an archaeological watching brief prior to, and during, the demolition of the former MoD Erskine Barracks, The Avenue, Wilton, Wiltshire. The work was required as part of a planning condition placed on the redevelopment by Wiltshire County Council. The redevelopment works include the demolition of all of the existing buildings on the site and the erection of housing. The investigations were undertaken over a period of 13 days, intermittently between 31st March and 4th June 2014.
