Abstract: |
Between January 23rd and January 29th, 2019, a metal detector survey and evaluation trenching took place at Benromach Distillery, Forres on approximately one hectare of land adjacent to the current distillery outbuildings on the west perimeter of the property. Sixteen metal finds were agricultural or industrial in nature, with the exception of one belt or horse harness buckle. The seven evaluation trenches did not produce any archaeological finds or features |
