Abstract: |
On the 19th October 2016 OA East carried out an archaeological watching brief at Mill Road, Fordham, Colchester. Essex (TL 92857 27450). The monitoring was undertaken during work being carried out by Anglian Water which comprised the installation of 16m of water pipe within a narrow cut trench. This work was followed up with an additional watching brief on 23rd February 2017 due to the installation of an additional 30m of water pipe in three separate 10m sections, again within a narrow cut trench. No archaeological features or artefacts were found during either of these watching briefs, with only modern topsoil and natural deposits being encountered. |
