Abstract: |
An historic building survey of Darling Cottage was prepared during alterations to the property. The cottage probably dates to the late 16th century, and was a small two-storey building perhaps with one or two rooms on each floor. There is evidence for a single primary fireplace on each floor. The building was extended in the mid-late 19th century, and this extension was further altered and expanded in the late 20th century when other alterations were also made to the earlier structure. |
